Hopewell Integrated PR and Social Media

Client Situation:

Hopewell created a five year strategic plan. They believed their therapeutic working farm for people with mental illness could achieve 100% occupancy in this period of time. They asked Stevens Strategic to create a marketing communications plan featuring PR and Social Media. The farm had not been at full capacity for more than 10 years.


Stevens Strategic created an aggressive Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Blog and LinkedIn Social Media Campaign. We sent out wire news releases spelling out the Farm’s attributes and featured residents with success stories. We monitored our results closely. SSC used the media’s social media presence as well as therapist organizations online to tell the Hopewell Story.


Hopewell was at full capacity in less than three months along with a waiting list. For three months, the Admissions Director had a tour scheduled every day of the week, and the client raised over $200,000 at its summer fundraiser. When attendees heard how successful the recruiting campaign had gone, they stepped up to the plate to donate more than ever before. SSC did in months what was believed to be a five year campaign. The same approach continues reap similar results.
